My Mets Hat Tastes Great

Mom and Dad went to the Mets game tonight and brought me back this little hat - without the Carvel ice cream! I would have preferred the hat AND the ice cream, personally. Anyway, here are the obligatory shots with me wearing the silly hat. Uhm, that smells really good even though you washed it out! Sideways. And finally, this is what hats are really for.

Truce?

More than any other cat, Wendell the Siamese is my nemesis. I have never liked him and I'm sure the feeling is mutual. Yet somehow we maintain an uneasy relationship in this 500 square feet apartment.

If Dad is petting Wendell, which he should NOT be doing ever, I always bark right in Wendell's face and send him scurrying on his way. When I'm walking by Wendell, he casually swipes at me with his claws out - sending me scurrying on my way. Bastard.

But strangely the other night this happened. While I was sleeping Wendell reached out and rested his paw on me. No claws even. I didn't know what to do. I was afraid to fall asleep obviously. So I just kept real still until he removed his filthy paw. Then I went to sleep.

Happy Mother's Day, Mom!

Mom, I can't tell you how happy I am that you we are a family again. I missed you so much when you weren't here, but now I get to curl up by your side every night again. There were so many ways that my life wasn't the same, but the main thing is that I missed you. Now, I get to hear your silly voice all the time. I get to wake you and Dad up with puppy kisses every morning, and we're a trio on walks again (you know how I like to walk in the middle protected by you both).

For all those things and many, many more, I'm glad you are my Mom. You are the best and I love you with all my heart!

Love,
Chloe Nyland-Hoke

We've arrived!

After a harrowing 11-hour journey in which I barked at the meowing cats much of the way, we made it. This is what my new home looked like as we brought our possessions in from the moving truck. As mom and dad started unpacking, the boxes made a maze that was fun to make my way through. Can you spot me?
