Do I Have to Wear the Life Vest?

I think they are being a little bit overprotective.
But it does look quite stylish.

Vacation in St. Michael's, Maryland

I had the best time in Maryland with Grandma and Grandpa! They live in a beautiful house with lots of windows on the Chesapeake Bay. My favorite spot was this chair in the boat room. There was something comforting about this chair in the corner. I could look out and see all the sailboats and birds. I also got to spend time with Mom and Dad in the hammock. Here I am giving Dad a nice face licking.
We also spent time in Bethesda, Maryland. In Bethesda, Mom and Dad visited friends and explored all their old haunts. That means I got to spend a lot of time with Grandpa and Grandma. That was fun! One night when Mom and Dad came home late, I got to sleep in bed with Grandma and Grandpa. There are no pictures for that, but I enjoyed it.
It's good to be back home in Indy with my kitties though. I was a good car traveler for the 10 hour ride. No accidents and LOTS of sleeping.

Don't forget me!

Mom and Dad are packing, usually that means Doggy DayCare for me. Maybe if I stay right here, I'll get to go with them.

This will be fun

Grandma and Grandpa are proud owners of a new house in Michigan. It's right on a lake! We'll be visiting in mid-August. I need to practice my doggy paddle. (Yeah right missy - you'll be wearing a lifevest and leash the entire stay. -Chloe's Mom)

As aggressive as I get

When Mom laughs, it just makes me kiss her more. Ha!

Doesn't the pup on the left look just like me? It isn't, but it could be!

Oh Brother.

A new study by the University of Pennsylvannia showed that dachshunds are the most aggresive breed of dog. The study prompted headlines like this one from the Daily Mail: "Why Sausage dogs are really just four-legged fiends" and this one from the Telegraph: "Sausage dogs are the most aggressive dogs.".

Man, those Brits just have sausage on the brain.

Anyway, I don't have much to say about this, but I just thought it was weird. Over at the always fun and informative The Long and Short of It you'll find much more on this story.

I just want to go on record that I've never bitten anyone and the only time I growl is when I'm playing with my Dad. And even then, my tail is wagging.

This quote makes my day: "Known as sausage dogs for their elongated bodies, dachshunds have not, until now, had a fearsome reputation, although they were originally bred to hunt badgers..."

So now I have a "fearsome reputation?" Great, now people are going to cross to the other side of the street when they see me coming.
