Lazy Saturday
Rolling around on the couch just because it's Saturday. Dad woke up kind of early today, but I talked him into going back to bed and sleeping away most of the morning.
Ah, the carefree life...

A Close Call
Dad came home from Target with a new pet bed for me yesterday. (Yes, he picked the tackiest one they had, didn't he?) But it was a blast! He set it in my exercise pen and not three minutes later, I had rendered the decorative fraying that was clearly not reinforced into long threads. I couldn't understand why Mom was freaking out and crying about me swallowing it. Dad couldn't either; he's definitely not as safety-conscious as Mom. For Bob Barker
Chloe is recuperating from her spay this morning. We'll be visiting her at the vet's tonight, but she is going to stay there overnight.
More pictures to come on Friday!
P.S. Chloe weighs 7.9 pounds now!

Progress on the feline front
The current state of affairs in the Nyland-Hoke household:
Lucy now enjoys Chloe's company more than that of her fellow cats. Toffee is holding steady; she enjoys a playful game of matador/bull (she is the former, Chloe is the latter) every few days. I would like to think Wendell realized how much he adored Chloe when she was away, but more likely he decided to ingratiate himself to us by sidling up to the dog more. When she is on our lap, he cuddles up next to her with nary a hiss. Seymore, sadly, has regressed a bit.
You may recall June's decidedly frostier relations:
